Summer Day Tours 2024/25
20 October - 20 December 2024, 20 January - 20 March 2025
There's no denying it, Winton can get hot in summer and, believe it or not, it can also rain! Many of our tours rely on access to dirt roads which become impassible during rain. So to help eliminate these uncertain aspects we limit the number and times of tours to provide maximum comfort for your visit.
During the off peak Summer period we will be offering the following tours, and from 21 March 2025 offering the 3/4 day Dinosaur Stampede Tour as well (weather dependent).

1. Rangelands Rifts and Sunset Tour - The same as the normal tour.
Available on: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from approx 4.45pm.
Price: Adults $85pp Seniors $80pp Child $60pp
Price valid all summer - Nov 2024 to March 2025
2. Australian Age of Dinosaurs Half Day Tour - The same as the normal tour.
Available on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
2024 Price: Adults $100pp Seniors $100pp Child $70pp
2025 Price: Adults $110pp Seniors $110pp Child $80pp
3. Dinosaur Stampede Half Day Dino Dash Tour - Journey through Winton’s mesa country to see a snapshot of an ancient environment and the only known dinosaur stampede in the world from 95 million years ago. We enjoy an early morning (7.30am) start, the guided tour of the Dinosaur Stampede and morning tea before heading back into Winton.
Available on: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Tour Includes: Morning tea and entry/tour at Lark Quarry.

Arriving by Train?
If you are arriving into Winton on the Spirit of the Outback train then the above tours fit with the arrival/departures.
Stay in the Outback longer!
You're coming to the outback so you could stay a bit longer and include a few days in Longreach as well!
1. REX Airlines fly Winton to Longreach on Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons - depating approx 1.10pm (40 minute flight).
2. Greyhound have a daily service from Winton to Longreach and Longreach to Winton; and there are tours to do in Longreach over summer too!
