Winton 150 Year Celebrations - Tours of the Region

2025 is the 150th anniversary of Winton! To mark the occasion the Winton Shire Council is celebrating for a week - 6th to 13th April 2025 including Waltzing Matilda Day and the Shearer's Reunion.
Red Dirt Tours will be running our normal schedule tours plus a few more Rangelands Rifts and Sunset Tours for visitors during the week, AND, the Winton Shire Council has asked us to run and sell three tours of their choice with their own special tour guide during the week:

A Day at Dagworth
Monday 7th April 2025 9.00am - 4.00pm Discover the history along the old Landsborough Highway on a guided day bus tour. Visit the historic Dagworth Cemetery, Combo Waterhole which inspired the song “Waltzing Matilda”, enjoy lunch at the Blue Heeler Hotel in Kynuna and return back to Winton. COST - $150 per person – includes morning tea and lunch. (Minimum 10 people – Maximum 19 people) |
Meet Your Mates at Middleton
Wednesday 9th April 2025 9.00am - 4.00pm Visit the historical sites along the way on this guided bus tour to the famous Middleton Hotel for lunch. Enjoy the views from Cawnpore Lookout and return to Winton. COST - $150 per person – includes morning tea and lunch. (Minimum 10 people – Maximum 19 people) |
Morning Tea at Oondooroo
Sunday 13th April 2025 9.30am - 12.00pm Enjoy the vast open space and morning tea at Oondooroo Station. Be amazed at the workmanship in the tour of the surrounding stone buildings still in station use. COST - $70 per person – includes morning tea and tour. (Minimum 10 people – Maximum 19 people) |
